Dono do UFC paga R$ 1,8 milhões por luvas de Muhammad Ali
Lorenzo Fertitta, co-proprietário do UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) com o par de luvas usado por Muhammad Ali na vitória sobre Floyd Patterson em 1965 por um valor milionário. Segundo o site da ESPN norte-americana, o dirigente desembolsou o equivalente a R$ 1,8 milhão pela raridade.
A compra foi feita durante um leilão beneficente na comemoração dos 70 anos completados por Ali. O dinheiro arrecadado foi encaminhado para pesquisas sobre o cérebro. Um dos objetivos seria buscar a cura do mal de Parkinson, doença que complica a vida do maior pugilista da história há quase 30 anos.
